Goin to State

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I was chosen by members of my precinct delegation to be an Obama delegate to the state convention . Today was a really long day, and I’m much too tired to record a show.
Thanks to all my Twitter pals for their kind words today, and [...]

I recorded this short show to let you all know that I’m getting ready for the county convention tomorrow. With any luck at all, I’ll be representing my precinct at the state convention.
Look for another episode over the weekend.
Thanks to Andy from The Andycast for a little user-generated music at the end.

Questions for Candidates

Presidential debates this season were weird. Most were more show business or sports than they were thoughtful occasions during which to narrow down your choice of presidential candidate. Oooooh, Audio Potential

I am such a podcaster. I just got an invitation to a happy hour for Obama delegates and alternates from my precinct (145, represent!). I’ll go, of course. My first thought was how great an audio collection opportunity this will be.
It’s March 28. Wait for it!

As I wrote yesterday, I did become a delegate from my precinct for Barrack Obama. In this episode, I’ve got audio highlights from the caucus, plus a conversation with my husband Frank about his day as an election judge, and how I ended up as an Obama delegate.

Intro and outro music: “Vibrations”, by B-Sea [...]

Precinct Delegate!

I’ll be posting a podcast later today: I have lots of audio to edit. I just wanted to give a quick rundown of what happened last night at my precinct caucus.
We had 410 people in attendance. Obama won 74% of the votes to Clinton’s 26%. Two folks were initially undecided (you can declare yourself Undecided, [...]

Well, here’s the first episode of the podcast. In it, I describe the way Texas Democratic primary and caucus system works to choose delegates for the national convention.
